There are two websites which can be very helpful to a new and “old” dancer. The Saddle Brooke Squares website offers video instructions. This website uses video of people performing the calls and is usually preferred by the new dancer. A problem with the website is that more than one call is illustrated on each video and only one formation is used for each call. The second website is called TAMinatons. This website demonstrates the call from more than one formation and lists the call definition. The problem is TAMinations uses circles and squares to represent the movements of the square dancers. A suggestion: slow the motion down, and number the circles & squares, read the call definition, pick a position, and follow that numbered position as the call advances. I would suggest looking both websites. But, whichever you choose, you will find them helpfull. Please send me an email if you have any questions or problems.
