The Cast Off 8's is a Western Style Square Dance club based in Rutland, VT. The club started in 1978 and has grown to be over 66 active dancers. The club meets Wednesday nights at the Lothrop School Gym in Pittsford, VT, just north of Rutland, from 7 to 10 pm. We have a new dancers program between 7:00 and 8:30 with Mainstream tips. Between 8:30 and 10:00, we split the time among Plus and A1. Our club caller is Ken Ritucci from West Springfield, MA.

Our club dances are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church (85 West Street Rutland, VT). All of the club dances are usually held on the first weekend of the month, except for our anniversary dance. Go to the "Club Dances" Page for a complete list, dates, and callers.

Next year we will celebrate our 34th Anniversary with a dance on Saturday, September 22, 2012 with A1/A2 between 6:30 & 7:30 and Mainstream/Plus between 7:30 & 10:30. The dance will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland, VT. Red Bates, who winters in Florida and summers in Maine, has been our anniversary dance caller for years. We hope to see you in a square.
