The Cast Off 8's is a Western Style Square Dance club based in Rutland, VT. The club started in 1978 and has grown to be over 50 active dancers. The club meets Wednesday nights at the Lothrop School Gym in Pittsford, VT, just north of Rutland, from 7 to 10 pm. We have a new dancers program between 7:00 and 8:30 with Mainstream tips. Between 8:30 and 10:00, we split the time among Mainstream, Plus, and A1. Our club caller is Ken Ritucci from West Springfield, MA.

Our club dances are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland, VT. All of the club dances are held on the first weekend of the month, except for our anniversary dance.

This year we will celebrate our 31th Anniversary with a dance on Sunday, September 20, 2009 with A1/A2 between 1:00 & 2:00 and Mainstream/Plus between 2:00 & 5:00. The dance will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Rutland, VT. Red Bates, who winters in Florida and summers in Maine, has been our anniversary dance caller for years. We hope to see you in a square.
